A synthesised broadband spectrogram of /rəˈmeːʃ ˈmɑːmɪɖɑːlə/, drawn from published formant targets for each phoneme rather than measured from a recording. The horizontal bands are formants, the resonances of the vocal tract; the fine vertical striations are individual glottal pulses; the blue trace is F0, the pitch, which breaks wherever voicing stops. The bright column is /ʃ/, a voiceless fricative with energy but no voicing.
§01 Profile /ˈproʊfaɪl/

Thirty years between two vocations: teaching people to speak, and teaching them to write.

With over three decades of experience spanning academia and the edutech industry, I have spent twenty six of those years as a Professor of English in an engineering college, shaping the communication, critical thinking and global outlook of thousands of students. Alongside that work I now serve as Director of Operations at an edutech publishing company, where I lead content development, academic strategy and product innovation.

A Gold Medalist in English, my academic foundation has always been rooted in excellence, discipline and a deep love for language and literature. My teaching emphasises clarity of expression, analytical depth and practical application. In engineering education I work to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and effective communication, so that students are not only academically proficient but genuinely ready for the world.

I believe a good teacher inspires, but a great teacher empowers others to teach. That conviction guides my work as a Trainer of Trainers, mentoring educators and corporate trainers in teaching methodology, communication strategy and learner engagement.

Four books.

Two written for students, two written for himself. The poetry came last, and it came from the weather.

Life of Student

A Tale of 4our Students

An honest portrait of student life, far removed from polished success stories. It captures self doubt, pressure, quiet resilience and the inner battles students face daily, and it values the struggle as much as the success.

Reviewed as "a quiet companion for those navigating the realities of growing up"

Seasons of My Soul

On nature and her five elements

A clear and limpid voice that portrays the real side of nature. The poems personify her in her originality, wondering why she is so widely misunderstood, and they carry an inheritance of Miltonic phrasing that the poet does not disown.

With Tanikella Bharani, the Telugu writer, poet and actor

Beyond the institutional roles there is a writer who never stopped writing. The poems reach for nature and her five elements; the columns and blog posts reach for language, learning, society and the self. Photography came later, and for the same reason as the poetry: to hold on to something the words alone could not carry.
